I am not a computer person and when my customers and I order tickets then click on the Paypal button to pay it goes to a blank screen. After waiting at least 3 minutes I went back in and just clicked the invoice button. Since implementing the new website not one person has paid through Paypal, so I am assuming others are also having this issue. When the website was tested prior to going live it seemed to work fine. Than you, Susan

Hi Susan,

What browser are you using to test this?

I’ve just placed a registration and selected PayPal, I was redirected to PayPal without any issue – http://take.ms/1URZy

Was this with a specific event?

We were both using Firefox and I’m not sure what the customer was using that had called me. Thanks, Susan

Hello, I tried a registration in Safari and was brought to PayPal:

I then opened Firefox and tried a registration and it also brought me to PayPal:

Have you recently installed any new plugins on the site or are you logged into your site when trying these test registrations?

While a small amount of people have been have able to complete the PayPal checkout process. Most have not been able to complete the checkout. When they select PayPal and finish they get a blank screen. I don’t know how you and the small amount of customers were able to get to PayPal. We are getting lots of messages from customers that it is not working. And we have tried on many different devices and browsers public and private and it is not working for us when we try to test it.

Also, We were not having any of these problems when we were using WooCommerce. We really would prefer to stay with Event Espresso but it has to work.

Hi there,

When you get the blank screen, is the URL in the browser a PayPal.com address or something else? Here’s a screenshot that shows where to look:

One thing I noticed after the PayPal.com page loaded successfully is there’s a warning about mixed (insecure) display content. Here’s a screenshot that shows the warning:

https://www.evernote.com/shard/s4/sh/19cf0103-6221-4f42-a72a-56c5640bc04e/d19ab6c04edea88c43fc18bac875535a

If the browser is set to not allow mixed content, then that might explain the blank page you are seeing.

Can you try removing the logo url from your Event Espresso > PayPal Image URL setting to see if that helps?

When I get the blank screen the URL is columbus-canvas.com
I have columbus-canvas.com forwarding to columbuscanvas.net with masking at GoDaddy.
I have the site hosted at columbuscanvas.net at DreamHost. When I tried with columbuscanvas.net it worked. Could the problem be caused by the forwarding?

Hi, could you please disable the domain masking and setup a domain redirect so that anyone that browses to http://columbus-canvas.com will be sent to http://columbuscanvas.net?
