Hello,

On my website some labels are not translated even if they are translated in
/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages
event_espresso-fr_FR.po
event_espresso-fr_FR.mo

On event single page,
* Price
* QTY
* Show details
* button “Register now”

In checkout page ‘attendee information’
* Attendee information
* Payment options
* “In order to process your registration, we ask you to provide the following information.
Please note that all fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. ”
* Name and descritpion
* Price
* QTY
* button “Proceed to payment options”

In checkout page ‘payment options’
* “Important Notice: Events Requiring Pre-Approval”
* Steps

In checkout page “Thank you”
* “Your registration has been successfully processed. Check your email for your registration confirmation.”
* Registration Details
* Important Notice
* The following Event(s) you have registered
* “Click here to edit All Attendee Information”

I got the last version of
https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/fr/event-espresso-fr_FR

Thanks for your help,

Hello,

Your steps sound correct. Could you confirm that your WordPress environment is a single site install and not a WordPress multi-site install?

Yes it’s a singlet site install.
I fix many problems in desinstalling Loco translate plugin and adding, again, the last version of https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/fr/event-espresso-fr_FR.

I still have this following problem, in checkout page ‘attendee information’
* Personal Information

Thanks for your help,

Tony

Hi there,

‘Personal Information’ is likely the name of your Question Group.

Go to Event Espresso -> Registration form -> Question Groups – http://take.ms/fpAv9

Edit the Personal Information question group (click on it)

Change the Name of the Question Group – http://take.ms/mDTtv

Thanks for this help.

Sadly I got my first problem again. Its really strange. It was working five hours ago and now its switched back to an English translation.
So I updated EE4 (4.8.34) and I downloaded the latest version of the translation (https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/fr/event) file and now it no longer working. I can not access the back-end when i put the files :

event_espresso-fr_FR.po
event_espresso-fr_FR.mo
/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages

I don’t have installed new plugins today.
It’s not the first time that I got this regression. Do you know if there is some conflicts ? Do you have another solution to translate “event-espresso-core-reg” ?

For compiling .mo file I got Poedit-1.8.7.

Thanks for your help,

Hello,

The translation files in this location are not removed or replaced on a software update so they should continue to work:

/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages

What happens if you export an MO file and adjust the file name (event_espresso-fr_FR.mo) and upload to the languages folder location above?

Are there any translation files in this location?

/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg

If so, could you remove them?

Hello,

Its better if I export in MO then I adjust the file name (event_espresso-fr_FR.mo). I don’t have problem to display the back-end. But the translation still does’nt work.

I have
/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages
event_espresso-fr_FR.mo
event_espresso-fr_FR.po

And in this following folders, I don’t have event espresso translation files
/wp-content/languages
/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg

Have you another idea ?

Hi,

I’m not sure why this would break after a few hours as those files are still in the correct location.

Loco translate is off, right? Are you using anything on the site like WPML or qTranslate?

Could it come from of Poedit or Fillezilla ?
When I use another computer with po-edit 1.7.4 and fillezilla 3.15.02, translations work.

I will wait until tomorow to see if there is any kind of regression.
Il don’t have Locotranslate, WPML or qTranslate.

Hello Jacques, I use POedit myself for translation tasks so that shouldn’t cause any issues. I would try another SFTP client like Cyberduck to see if the issue continues when files are uploaded.

However, as I shared earlier, the language files in this location are not edited / changed when you update Event Espresso 4:

/wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages
