EE4 Transaction declined (code: )

Event transactions have been working for a while but on March 20th customers reported getting a (code: ) after trying to finalize their transaction.

So no one can register now! So this is urgent.
I use Authorize.net. Since there is no code given we have no idea how to fix it.

using EE4 v4.9.16.p

Hi Eli,

Is there a reason you haven’t updated to the current version of Event Espresso 4 yet? For example, were there customizations made to the plugin?

no reason. I have priority support ticket in as this is urgent. No ONE has responded yet. Can they update it to the latest please? Have you heard of this error at all?

I did see your priority ticket, and my first response is above.

This is an error I’m seeing in a few places in the admin of your website:

cURL error 6: Could not resolve host: dnctevents.com

This indicates the PHP cURL module isn’t configured correctly, and the Authorize.net payment method relies on cURL. Can you contact your host and ask them to verify that cURL is working correctly on your server, and that the OpenSSL version is up to date?

The Payment Method logs also have these since March 20:

Error connecting to AuthorizeNet

It’s looking like your host may have changed the server around March 20. They’ll need to make sure that the server that’s hosting your website has cURL configured along with the current version of OpenSSL.

What steps did you take in the admin to see the cURL error (just in case they ask me)?

You go to Event Espresso > Payment Methods > Logs and view the logs that have the ID 5447, 5444, 5441, and so on.
