Hello All! I have a school register 1 Primary and 3 teachers for an event and they used the same name and email for all registrations. I have the correct names and emails of the three non-primary attendees, but I am having trouble changing editing the registration. Registrations > Edit Contact Details Editing the contact details of any one registrant changes the details of ALL t he registrants in the group. Could yo please help! Bill |
HI William, If you view the registrations for the additional attendees, there is a “Create Contact” button that gives you the ability to create a new contact and associate that registration with that newly created contact: http://www.screencast.com/t/dWOu5XsJzu3X That should help. Let me know if I can do anything else for you. |

Is there a way to edit the incorrect contact name and email address? I would rather fix it than add another. Bill |
Hi, Try going to WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> Registrations. Then locate the registrant/attendee in the list and click on their name. You’ll then be brought to the Registration details screen. Towards the top right, you’ll see a contact details widget. Click on the View/Edit Contact button: http://cl.ly/image/1p2o3r0i2M1H On the next screen, make changes as needed and then save changes. — |

Must be a bug guys. One edit changed all four contacts again. Let me know what to do. Bill |
Hi William, When the user uses the same details for each registration they do not create 4 contacts with the same details, but create 1 contact and assign that contact to all of the registrations. So for example, if I select 4 tickets, provide the primary attendee info then copy that info to all of the other fields I get something like this in the registration list – http://take.ms/2qHiv If I edit each of those registrations they all show the same details – http://take.ms/24xH0 Editing any of the contact details within any of those registrations, all edit the same contact. So again its not editing 4 contacts, its editing 1 contact and displaying that same contact for all registrations. So if we want to change that, we could go to the registration we want to the contact to apply to, I’l going to use reg 4 of 4 and we edit that registration – http://take.ms/lpRQE Notice the ‘Create contact’ button, click on that. Event Espresso will create a new contact with the same details, you’ll need to edit these with the new details – http://take.ms/0M8ir Edit the details to suit and click update – http://take.ms/bP8im Now refresh the registration list – http://take.ms/6Mo6v If you view your Contact List (Tab at the top of the Registration list) you will find the new contacts have been created – http://take.ms/EXrf0 Does that help? |
