I recently had to completely re-install my website from scratch, with a new WordPress install using the latest version and PHP 7.4. Event Espresso 4 was the first plug-in I installed on this fresh site, and after activating it, it did not appear in the Dashboard menu. I can access the Settings from the Plugin menu only. I cannot add events, payment methods, or change anything else other than the basic Settings available from the Plugin menu.
I tried deactivating and then activating again. I tried uninstalling and installing again. Same result.
I tried installing and activating other plugins, notably “Limit Login Attempts” and that plugin and its logo appear in the Dashboard menu on the left side of the admin screen.
If so, click on the Reset Event Espresso Capabilities button, which forces EE to re-add the capabilities onto the account.
Does EE then show up in the menu for you?
