Testing registration on EE4 Steps to reproduce the error: 1) Add tickets into “cart” I now have a choice of payment options, but if I reload the page (believe me, users will… ) it resubmits the info again and I now have a second registration in the admin section. So there should be a fix to prevent duplicate form submissions (either cookie or session), but clearly this does not yet exist. Thanks |

Hi, Are you using the latest version of EE4? I ran some tests and the attendee is not logged in the system until the registration has been finalised. So at the point you mention, the attendee is simply not saved yet. http://take.ms/FY3gT Just to be clear, the process is: go to an event, select number of tickets, click Register Now, fill out form, click Proceed to Payment Options and then refresh the page? |

Hi Dean >> Just to be clear, the process is: go to an event, select number of tickets, click Register Now, fill out form, click Proceed to Payment Options and then refresh the page? Yes. The registration appears to go into the admin registrations section under status of “pending-payment”, so I guess it’s not that important, however, was just bringing it to your attention that a duplicate submission occurs (or does on mine!) |

Also as an update to the above, I notice that on my installation the following occurs: 1) go to an event, 6) At this point, registration form is minimized, and “Step 2” payment options shows 7) I also got a pop-up that says “Attendee information submitted successfully.” 8) I can now choose a payment option and click Finalize payment button. Hope that makes it more clear. Let me know if this sounds right or not. It’s a fresh install latest version (4.4.3p) |

Hi, On step 7, it’s just a notification that the data is valid. The attendee should not be being added to the database before the finalization occurs. Once you click the finalize button you should be sent to a thank you page and that should appear after refreshing. Can you provide a link to an example event please? I know I wont be able to see the duplicate attendees, but the whole process seems off to me, so I’d like to see if there are any obvious issues. |

Hi Dean Thanks for your reply. I have sent you an email with the URL as I don’t wish to publish it here. Thank you |

Hi Sol, Can you tell me how many TEST attendees and TEST2 attendees there are in your admin please? |
|
Hi Dean I can only see one TEST. Very odd – I just tested again and can’t seem to reproduce the bug now…. something has changed to make it “go away” – perhaps during config of other elements. Thanks for your efforts… I guess this is resolved for now – sorry to have taken up your time. |

Dean – would you mind also using the same URL to check the other issue as stated here: |

OK, well keep an eye on it and if it re-occurs please advise. Yes, I will look at that other thread and respond there accordingly. |
