I am testing out EE4 on your demo site and would like to know if I can change the verbiage related to “tickets”. In the context of my needs, tickets do not make sense. My client will be accepting registration for their private classes. Unlike an event such as a concert, they are not selling tickets but rather spaces in a class. I would like to dispense with the notion of tickets altogether but do not know if that is possible. Can I just set a flat fee for a class?
Do you have a phone number for pre-sales questions? I see potential with your plugin but have so many questions that I would prefer to discuss my requirements with a live person.
All of the strings that display are wrapped in translation functions so that they can be translated into different languages. But this also makes it possible for you to change them and substitute in different wording or phrases. You can do this with either a full translation file, or by adding a function to change just specific strings (https://gist.github.com/sethshoultes/5650757).
One of the advantages of EE4 over EE3 is that you can set non-consecutive dates for a single event. So you can sell spaces for a class, and put in all the class dates into the event editor.
I’m not sure about a pre-sales phone number, I’m on the post-sales support side of the house, but I’ll ask someone.
Thanks.
