Does EE4 support group registration in such a way that for a whole group of eg 15 people only one ticket is obtained (one qrcode). When checking the ticket only one ticket is scanned and the whole group is registered at the entrance without delay. I saw that EE3 has this option.
Yes and no, at least not in the exact way you’ve mentioned above.
You can’t use a single ticket scan to check everyone from the group in at once, but you can scan a single ticket (the ‘primary registrant’ ticket), check them in from that scan and then check the other attendees in the group from there without scanning their tickets.
So you would scan the ticket, check that registrant in, click the details button on the app to view more details including additional registrants, from that page you can check each additional registrant in the group in without scanning each ticket.
Thank you for your reponse. Although the solution for groups in EE3 was technically more elegant, your advice for EE4 may be useful in practice. Thanks again.
Yeah, I agree that particular feature was more elegant in EE3. With EE4 every ticket is a separate registration (even if you only collect details once) so the apps were designed to be used with each one individually.
Group registrations could be looped over and checked in all at once but the logic within both the app and EE REST API hasn’t been implemented as of yet. I’ll note this on our roadmap for consideration in a future version.
