Dear EE Team, |
Hi there, Can you post the fatal error shown so we investigate please? I’m guessing you have both EE3 Lite and EE4 activated and now EE3 lite is throwing a fatal error as you can only have a single version active at any one time. |

I de-activated & removed EE3 lite before installing EE4. I had to contact my hosting company to check what was wrong and they told me that the the plugin has issues with the theme. Therefore, I had to deactivate EE4 from the backend. The website worked instantly. pasted the error below:

Is the server your site is running on using PHP7? That error would normally not be caused by a theme conflict, however we recently had similar reports from users using PHP7. Event Espresso is not tested on PHP7 however we are working on a fix for the above. Currently if your server is running PHP7 you’ll need to switch use a previous version of PHP to use EE (PHP 5.6.xx should work without any problem) |

Yes, the server does work on PHP7. I switched to PHP5.6 and then activated the plugin. It works! Thanks a lot for your timely help. |
You’re most welcome. Please let us know if you run into any further problems. |
