EE4 not working after installation and setup

I’ve installed EE4, configured the general settings, installed and setup the plugins we’ll be using, and setup our first event. The control panel for EE seems to be working fine, and the Events tab shows up on the menu bar. However, selecting the “Events” tab directs the browser to the homepage with broken links for images and other items. Not sure if this is a theme conflict (website built on the twenty eleven theme), conflict with another plugin, some part of the setup we missed, or something else.
