EE4 not reading WP version, and support key not registered

Hi – I have a EE 4.2.4. WP 3.9.1. It was upgraded from EE 3.something.
After I upgraded to EE4, it told me that it needed a newer WP to operate properly, so I updated to WP 3.9.1. But I still have a banner at the top stating:
“Event Espresso recommends WordPress version 3.8.1 or greater in order for everything to operate properly. You are currently running version 3.6.”

I also have a banner saying:
“You have the correct Site License Key for Event Espresso but your current membership access only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now”
But it looks right in my account and in my EE settings.

I’m wondering if it’s two symptoms of the same issue, but I’m not sure what to do about it…

Are you able to dismiss that notice?

I’ve just rolled over your Support License Key and created a new one ending in 66. You can find it in your Event Espresso account:

If you are using Event Espresso 3, please login to your WordPress admin and locate Event Espresso in the admin menu. Then click on General Settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and locate the area for Support License. Now copy the existing key. Then erase the existing key and click on Save Options. After the page refreshes, scroll back down to the Support License area and paste your key and click on Save Options.

If you are using Event Espresso 4, please login to your WordPress admin and locate Event Espresso in the admin menu. Then click on General Settings. Copy the existing key which appears at the top of the page. Then erase the existing key and click on Save on the right side of the screen. After the page refreshes, please paste your key and click on Save once more.

These steps will refresh your Support License Key for Event Espresso.

Support key worked – thank you.
I’m able to dismiss the WP version notice, but it comes back as soon as I go to another EE page..

Is there a caching plugin running on your site?

No. In years past there used to be, but the plugin isn’t installed any longer. I don’t even remember what it was called now…
