EE4 Missing Questions

I’m probably overlooking something simple, but I apparently need some help. I’ve created Question Groups populated with select questions and assigned them to an Event, but I don’t see them displayed in the registration process.

Example: http://www.visitdowntowndanville.com/events/opies-fish-toss-2/

Any suggestions?

Hi there,

Could you double check that you have enabled these question groups for this specific event?

Just go to the specific event in the Event Editor and scroll down to check. Here is an example:

Place a checkmark in your questions and be sure to save changes to your event.

Yes. That has been completed for each appropriate event, but it’s not displaying on the front end.

Can you give us a screenshot of the questions assigned to the “2-member team information” question group?

I noticed that the url of your event has a “-2” in it, meaning that there is probably another Opies Fish Toss event…lets make sure you’re editing the same event where you want the questions to appear: http://www.visitdowntowndanville.com/events/opies-fish-toss-2/ and http://www.visitdowntowndanville.com/events/opies-fish-toss/

The first iteration of that slug/alias is the page using a shortcode for testing purposes. I’m checking the post. You may reference other team events in the list of events: http://www.visitdowntowndanville.com/events/

This is a pretty simple registration, so I’m probably overlooking something in the new version. Thanks in advance for your help!

Which of your events have these custom questions configured for the additional attendees, just the team events? Do other events have custom questions that are showing correctly, or do custom questions not show for ANY event?

These all have the same questions for teams of two:
Opie’s Fish Toss
Handcuff Putt Putt
Goober & Gomer’s Pit Stop

Can you switch your theme to a default WordPress Twenty’s theme (e.g. 2010, 2012, 2014) and check your forms again? The theme code is a little suspicious.

This is a live site, so it’s not ideal but there’s low traffic at the moment so I did switch themes. The additional question groups still do not display.

What other plugins do you have active?

This is how it should function where the custom questions are below the personal information group: http://demoee.org/ee4/events/custom-questions-group-event/

So, something inside your theme or plugins are causing conflicts.

The only active plugin other than EE4 was WP recaptcha. I disabled it, but there’s no change. I see that an update is available for EE4, but I can’t retrieve my site license key to update.

I’m now working past the original deadline for this project and my priority support token just disappeared from my account when I logged in a moment ago to post. Your prompt attention to these matters would be greatly appreciated — I really like what EE has to offer, but I’m very frustrated with the lack of documentation and support in the transition.

Thanks, Jonathan. I was able to register a key and apply the update. Unfortunately, we’re still missing questions with no additional plugins active.

Yes. Please refer to the previous posts/screenshots. Questions are assigened and EE4 is up to date with no other plugins active.

I looked at the screenshots and I do not see a screenshot that shows that questions are assigned to a group. Here’s what I can find from earlier in the thread:
