Using Event Espresso 4 and the Multiple Event Registration (MER) plugin
Our military reunion has a required registration (I created a Main Registration ticket, which I hope it correct), and then individual event tickets (each a separate event with tickets). I tried to set this up by making the Main Registration ticket a “Required” ticket.
That’s fine if everyone registers and buys their tickets all at once. However, last time we did this, many people who had already registered (Main Registration) came back again for different event tickets. How will EE4 know if they’ve already registered, without forcing them to buy another Required Main Registration?
EE can’t tell if they have registered before, now without some custom development. Do you require users to log into the site before purchasing or are the registrations public?

If you are separating out the tickets into individual events then the required ticket will only apply to the main registration page event, the other events can be registered onto without that ticket.
Can you link me to an event so I can view the setup?
Tony, thanks. The registrations are public (right now), but I have considered using the WordPress registration addon to force them to be logged in. I assume that be doing so, they would have to log in to the site in the future to buy more tickets. Do you think that’s the way to go?
