We have a huge problem with EE4. Something is wrong with EventEspresso and the ticketing system. It is not communicating with PayPal properly.
One user just emailed us and said that he got confirmation emails for 2 tickets for one of our event, BUT he did not pay.
This means that Event Espresso is sending out confirmation emails BEFORE people are paying. This is an issue because according to Event Espresso, he has paid, and a ticket has been accounted for (from the 52 total). According to our paypal account, he has NOT paid and therefore should not receive a ticket.
What could be the problem? What information can I provide for you to look into this and see what’s going on. We have to get this fixed ASAP. This is a huge issue and I am going to have to look through every transaction individually and cross check it with PayPal to see who has actually paid and who has not.
This event is getting closer and closer and we can have no mistakes for ticketing on the day of this event. People who have received a confirmation email are expecting tickets… and some of them may not have paid properly.
Can you go to Event Espresso -> Events -> Default Settings Tab.
What is the value set for ‘Default Registration Status’.
Within the event that this happened look within the ‘Event Registration Options’, the same value is there also, what is that set to?
If you go to the registration for the individual you mentioned, then view the transaction for that individual do you have a Paypal Transaction ID and response?
I notice you are still on 4.1.8reg, we are currently at 4.1.10reg, I also read through your previous post explaining why you have not updated. However as EE4 is currently in Beta we are releasing multiple updates as bugs are found, its possible that if there is an issue it may have been fixed within one of those updates.
