Hello, i need to add an input-select field to the EE4 checkout/registration form which i have to build up on my own. I.e. i have to add a Drop-Down menu to the rgistration page which i need to build up using an own PHP class to select which mail-group i like to join on registration. Question: How do i hook such a field into the common registration form and where is the hook for my own PHP class on submitting the registration? I want to accomplish that as soon as a user books an event and therefore has to register as a new user if not logged in already, he/she should see my generated select-menu and on user-submit of the registration i need to know where i can hook up with that submitted select-value to talk with my class to the CleverReach API. Please may someone point me to the related documentation topics or support posts? I searched somewhat around but i am totally unclear on how to do this. Best regards, This is a duplicate post from the FREE forum: https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-how-to-add-custom-produced-field-to-registration-formprocess/ |
Hi there, While I’m not 100% clear on what you’re trying to do, I can point you in the direction of the idea of using a custom drop down question that you add using Event Espresso’s Registration form UI. Then you can take the value of the answer and send it to your CleverReach API. Also, the WP User Integration add-on has a built-in way to require user registration if they’re not logged in or do not have an account yet. |

Hi Josh, > I can point you in the direction of the idea of using a custom drop down question that you add using Event Espresso’s Registration form UI. Then you can take the value of the answer and send it to your CleverReach API. That is what i need to know. How do i generate (or better:integrate) a custom drop-down on the registration form. I.e. if i book an event i get routed to the register form in our case. In that register form i need to display a select-field i want to generate by a php class of mine which talks to CR and displays inside the select menu all available mailing groups of that user. Best regards, |
Hi Michael, We wouldn’t be able to help with adding a field that’s generated by a 3rd party script. That’s why I recommended adding the field with the UI and add the possible values via the Event Espresso registration form UI. |

Thanks Josh, maybe you could help us to realize some modifications on event espresso as a job? Or if not, we would appreciate a contact to a programmer who could help us. |
I can point you to the list of programmers in the directory: |
