We are getting a message popping up everytime a client goes to the Registration form. It reads “Payment Settings Updated! PayPal Standard payment settings initialized.”

It is freakin folks out – is there any way to kill this notification?

Hi there,

The first thing to do is go in to the Event Espresso payment settings and re-save the PayPal settings.

If updating the payment settings does not help, can you send us a system status report? You can get the system status by going to Event Espresso > Maintenance > System Information, then select all/copy the contents of the box under Raw System Data. This can be emailed to support@eventespresso.com.

Hi there,

We may need to get FTP access and investigate this further if that’s possible. If this is possible, can you send them via this secure form:

A little update on this issue: We were able to get credentials for another site where this issue came up and found that it has to do with some really old gateway settings from older versions of EE3.

Steps to fix:

You deactivate the gateway
Re-save the Event Espresso > General settings page
Then reactivate the gateway
that should clean up the gateway settings in EE_Config
