I have a serious problem with the event pages after upgrading the plugin to Version 4.8.9.p. When I click on an Event, the content editing area is all white, with the text only showing when highlighted. Also, none of the areas below the top content editing area show up at all. Here is a screenshot: |

Trying screenshot again. It is at https://www.diigo.com/item/image/42uk/pcq3 |

Hi Rosemary, Can you check to see if your site has the current version of the Divi theme installed? The other thing you can check is if there’s another plugin that’s loading in some CSS onto the event editor page that’s hiding parts of the event editor screen. |
Yes, I have the latest version of Divi installed. And everything has been working fine in the past. Would a plugin suddenly start loading in CSS? |
I have a dev site that is a duplicate of the website, and I would like to test there to avoid “live” issues with registrations, etc. However, when I go to the dev site, I get the message that EE is registered two places. Is there a temporary workaround for this so that I can do some testing in a non-live environment? |
Another plugin might load in CSS or JavaScript where it hadn’t previously before, especially after an update. You can avoid the license key issue by removing the license key from the support license key field on the dev site’s Event Espresso > General Settings page, then save. |
Well, I used the dev site to figure out that the conflict is with the Divi Booster plugin, which I need. What should I/we do? |
Hi Rosemary, Thanks for narrowing things down. The solution is likely to remove the Divi Booster’s scripts and/or CSS from the event editor admin page. Normally one plugin should not inject its scripts onto other admin pages, but it can happen. Can you try contacting the support staff for the Divi Booster plugin? They will likely want to know about this so they can adjust their scripts so they only load where needed. If they need a copy of Event Espresso for troubleshooting, they can download a copy from our Github project page: https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core If they’re not responsive, we can try to write up a small function to exclude the Divi Booster scripts from the event page, but we’ll need to get a copy of the plugin in order to know which scripts are loading. |
I contacted the plugin author and have received no response. I’m pretty desperate here because the two conflicting plugins are essential for our website to run properly. What is the best way for me to get a copy of the plugin to you? |
Hi Rosemary, You can either email a zip file to support at eventespresso.com or upload the zip file to a Dropbox Public folder and publish the public link here. |
Emailed it. Thanks. |

September 21, 2015 at 11:07 am Hi Rosemary, Thank you for sending a copy of the plugin. I activated the Booster plugin and activated the Divi theme and I’m not quite seeing the same issue you posted in the screenshot. Can you check on something? When you go to the Divi Booster’s settings, then look under “Page Builder” is the box checked or unchecked for “Enable Page Builder for posts and custom post types”. If it’s checked, does the issue go away if you uncheck the box and save? |
Oh wow! That was it! I should have thought of that myself, but at least YOU did. Thanks, thanks, thanks. I have been so impressed with the EE support I’ve received and feel that I definitely selected the right event management plugin! |
You’re welcome Rosemary. |
