When you click on ‘Registrations’ or go to an event and click ‘view attendees’ , peoples names are not showing. But some here and there are. I had an issue a few days ago after upgrading to EE4 where the contact fields were not showing on the registration page. Then all of a sudden they started to show and now many of the names are gone on registrations. |
ok, the fields are not showing again: name, phone, etc… |
This shows, but nothing else: In order to process your registration, we ask you to provide the following information. |
Hi Dorian, If you enable WP_DEBUG on the site does the registration form show any errors? |
Where do you enable that in EE? |
sorry…wp-config 🙂 |

The errors reference Paypal but this issue is before you get to checkout. |
If I deactivate Auth AIM, the Attendee Information fields still do not show |
The first notice shown in the above:
Is what is causing the other 3 posted, its not the cause of the errors on the checkout page. The reference to PayPal is from the wpgc-paypal plugin, try temporarily disabling that plugin and retest with WP_Debug enabled again. |
Disable the AIM payment method or deactivate it in EE because it is built in. SIMis the plugin |
ok, I deactivated AIM, and got: Strict Standards: Declaration of wpgc_paypal::check_options() should be compatible with wpgc_module::check_options($_errors, $_moduleid) in /wp-content/plugins/wpgc-paypal/wpgc-paypal.php on line 14 Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /wp-content/plugins/wpgc-paypal/wpgc-paypal.php:14) in /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Front_Controller.core.php on line 107 Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at /wp-content/plugins/wpgc-paypal/wpgc-paypal.php:14) in /wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Session.core.php on line 463 |

I have the same set up for this site, just like all of our other sites…just FYI |
Do you need any access to the site or FTP? |
OK, the ‘errors’ posted above are not from EE, they are from the Its throwing a notice with WPDebug enabled, which then causes the session ‘errors’ you see that relate to EE. Disabling the payment methods within EE won’t make any difference here as your not at the step, its way before they get involved. Try disabling the I suspect there is an issue with the template files on the site, how did you upload EE to that site? |
How do you disable wpgc-paypal? I uploaded the same as all of our sites, through WP plugin install. |
Duh, sorry, thats our gift cert plugin… FYI, it is on all of our sites. I disabled it, got no errors in debug, but tested checkout and fields still not showing. |
Find the WPGC Paypal plugin within Dashboard -> Plugins. Click de-activate. |
Sorry, I was thinking you were referring to EE paypal plugin…. |
FYI… If you go into an event and check the “Address” box in “Questions for Registrant”, the name, email, phone fields show along with the address fields. When you go back and uncheck the Address box, go back to the event, the Name, email and phone show one time, when you go to another event, no fields again. |
Seems to be an issue with the form itself. |
You’re on the right track, it is an issue with the forms, but we need to narrow down the cause of the issue. If you temporarily deactivate other plugins on the site does the issue persist? |
I disabled ALL plugins except EE4 same issue. |
Would it help for you guys to log into the site or FTP? |
Not currently. Have you checked to confirm the correct questions are within the groups? Go to Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> Question Groups. Edit the Personal Information question group and check that it has First Name, Last Name and Email assigned to it – http://take.ms/YDyjV Then the Address question group – http://take.ms/kIcLk Basically check that each of those groups has the correct questions that are expected for each group assigned to them. Save the settings on each edit screen. |
I already checked all of that . It is all correct It only works if you activate address in an event |
First name and email are required so those should at least show |
Correct.
So the registration form will consistently work if you include the address group? For example if event A does NOT include the reg form questions it doesn’t work correctly at all, but if event B DOES include the address questions it works? |
Did you save the settings on each of the edit screens? |
Correct, if I click address box, both personal info and address info shows. If I uncheck address, nothing shows, not even custom questions. |
Hi Dorian, Can you go in and make sure that the Personal Information question group gets re-saved? |
Look at this: https://www.masterpiecemixersgv.com/events/serenity-2/ https://www.masterpiecemixersgv.com/events/abstract-city/ Do you see the fields on one and not the other? |
Same with these two. https://www.masterpiecemixersgv.com/events/wine-glass-decorating-2/ |
So the different between each of those events is one has the ‘Address’ group selected whilst the other does not? |
No, no events have address group checked. We never use the address check box. I only checked address on one event to test it. When checked, it all works. When unchecked, the personal info does not work. Those samples I posted do not have any address box checked. |
Someone from Event Espresso staff can go through and make sure your installation isn’t missing any files or anything like that if you can complete the form on this page: |
I submitted the info |
Hi Dorian, There is no FTP credentials included within the form so we can’t investigate, can you please re-submit providing all of the requested details on the form. |
ok, it’s there |
So what happened was there were errors that happened on the data migration from EE3, and one of the results was the migrated from EE3 events don’t have question groups assigned to them. The events that have registration forms had been updated since the EE3 migration. So, if you go in and click Update for any event, that will automatically assign the Personal Question group to it. I went through and updated the current upcoming events so they all have question groups assigned to them now. |
Again you guys are awesome! Thanks So any new events should be ok? |
They should be yes. The quickest way to test is to create a new event and confirm the personal info question groups displays on the event during registration. |
