Just out of no where we started getting the following error message when publishing and updating events in EE4. Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas04_data03/87/3167487/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/caffeinated/admin/extend/messages/espresso_events_Messages_Hooks_Extend.class.php on line 104 Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/p3pnexwpnas04_data03/87/3167487/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/caffeinated/admin/extend/messages/espresso_events_Messages_Hooks_Extend.class.php:104) in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas04_data03/87/3167487/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1171 I’ve already tried going to messages > settings and toggling on and off the button, as I saw in some other similar threads, but that hasn’t worked either. Is there a solution for this? Definitely need to get this resolved ASAP. Thanks. |
Hi there, We’d need to know the exact cause to know the solution. Are there actual message templates when you view the Messages editor? |
Yes, there are message templates when I view the messages editor. Really need to figure this. Your help is much appreciated. |
If you disable all of the message types in the Messages settings, does it allow you to edit/update events? |
I disabled all message types (pdf, html, email) in Messages settings and am still getting the same error. Any other ideas? |
Hello, I found a prior support post where the issue was resolved by deactivating and reactivating the message types (https://eventespresso.com/topic/error-message-when-addingupdating-event/). Could you try these steps? 1) Temporarily deactivate all plugins 2) Reactivate Event Espresso 3) Go to Event Espresso –> Messages –> Settings. Toggle all messages back on (the ones that were previously turned off). 4) Try editing an existing event and be sure to save changes Does that clear the error? If so, then go ahead and reactivate any remaining plugins on your website. — |

Hi Lorenzo, I followed the steps above with no success. After save changes I got a new error message though. See below. Then I tried reactivating the other event espresso plugins and received the same original error message. Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas04_data03/87/3167487/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/caffeinated/admin/new/pricing/espresso_events_Pricing_Hooks.class.php on line 206 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas04_data03/87/3167487/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/caffeinated/admin/new/pricing/espresso_events_Pricing_Hooks.class.php on line 328 Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/p3pnexwpnas04_data03/87/3167487/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/caffeinated/admin/new/pricing/espresso_events_Pricing_Hooks.class.php:206) in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas04_data03/87/3167487/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1171 |
If you go to Event Espresso > Pricing, are there default prices listed there, or have they been moved to the Trash? |
The default prices are listed there. Anything else I can try? Really need to get this resolved. Thanks again for your help. |

Also, not sure if it is relevant, but one thing that I recall before it started throwing the error – Was that we had an “Alternative Registration Page” link filled in for the event. We then wanted it removed.. When it was removed and re-saved it started throwing the error. Could this be related? |
It should not be related. If you re add a alt reg link to the event and publish does the error still show? (You can use any link, for example http://www.google.com) When you view the event does it have any datetimes set? Also does it have ticket set? The espresso_events_Pricing_Hooks.class errors mean EE can’t find the datetimes and tickets for the event. Are you running any custom EE plugins? If you de-activate all Non-EE plugins an retest does the same happen? |

Also, this may have started happening after I reset my license key for the live website. Could that have something to do with it? |
No it wouldn’t. Do you have a backup of the database that was made prior to the error starting, that you can restore to? |
I do not. Seems like an issue with the EE plugin(s), since that’s what the error is referring too. Any other ideas or solutions? I’ve noticed a lot of threads about the same error, so I know I can’t be the only experiencing this. Thoughts? |
Also, this user had the exact issue that I’m having. I’m experiencing everything he mentioned in his post, on top of the error message. |
Hey Josh, I seemed to have fixed the error for now. Just deactivated the Event Espresso – MailChimp (EE4.4.5+) plugin and that did the trick. Looks like it’s an issue with that plugin. Any ideas why that’s the case? |
No ideas because I’m not seeing those errors on any sites that have the MailChimp add-on activated. |
