I’m trying to modify the e-mail that the costumer are receiving when they register and pay (because I think they are not clear: people doesn’t read all and there is not sometthing written clearly big like “WELL DONE, YOU’VE PAID!”), so I want to add it! But, i’m checking the templates in the “messages” section of EE and the template are different from the emails that registrants receive! |
Hi Riccardo, Have you created a custom template for the Payment Received message or are you editing the Global Template? Messages can have multiple “context’s”, the Payment Received Message should only be sent to the Primary Attendee, although there is also an Event Admin context. You can switch between contexts using the dropdown at the top of the page and click ‘Switch Recipients’ |

I’m using the global templates because i want to use EE for a lot of events (6-7 every week) so i can’t create every time a new template. Thank you again |
Messages may have multiple context’s, for example the Payment Received message sent to an Event Admin (if one is sent), would likely be different from the Payment Message sent to the attendee. For example, the Event Admin may get something like: “You have just received payment from ‘Tony Warwick’ for the amount of $20 for ‘My Super Event'” Were as the attendee could receive: “Thank you, we have received your payment of $20 for ‘My Super Event'” Notice they are both Payment Received messages but for two different purposes. So when editing a message, you need to check you are editing the message that is sent to the correct context (Generally speaking this will be either the Admin or the Registrant) So to edit the correct message go to Event Espresso -> Messages. Now find the Payment Received message. Click ‘Email’ to edit the email message: http://take.ms/iNBv2 You can see what ‘context’ (or who the message will be sent to) in the Title. http://take.ms/g40zR So we change contexts by changing the Dropdown to the one we want (in this case Primary Recipient) and clicking ‘Switch recipient’. Now notice the title on the page… http://take.ms/FFA6p This is now intended for the Recipient and you should find this is the message you are trying to edit. Does that help? |
