This is connected with this conversation, https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-user-integration-add-on-security-questions/#post-170841, but is a little different.

As a result of the “known issue caused primarily by admins purchasing tickets from the front-end while logged-in” it has changed all of the registration information for all registration purchased while someone was logged in as an admin to the information of the person who the last ticket was purchased for. As a result we have a lot of tickets that have the wrong name, email, etc associated with them. Is there a way to manually go in and change this information to the correct information (based off of the auth.net information we have)? Or are these forever going to be associated with the wrong name?

Hi, I’m sorry to ask again, but I could really use some help with this. Thank you in advance for your time and help.

Hi Caitlyn,

When you are viewing one of those additional registrants, do you see a Create contact button like this?

http://cl.ly/image/132A2b2m0Z0L

If so, you can click on that button and then update the name and email and save changes and a new contact record will be created. You could then repeat this process for the other additional registrants.

Hi Lorenzo,

No, I don’t see that create contact button. I do see the view/edit contact button that is also shown in the image you attached.

Just to make sure that I am looking in the correct spot this is where I am going: event espresso > registrations > clicking on specific name of individual, and then the button is on the right sidebar under contact details. Is this right? If so, what do I need to do to make the create contact button appear?

thanks for your help!

Hi, those are the correct steps but you’ll want to click on the additional registrants. This should appear for those registrants but will not appear for the first registrant which would be the primary registrant.

I see, so this won’t really fix the issue. It only allows you to change the information on tickets that more than one ticket was purchased. There is no way to change the information of the first registrant?

Do you have any other way that you can think of for us to be able to associate the correct tickets with the right information?

Hi Caitlyn,

Another member reported having trouble changing the information so I ran some testing and these were my findings:

A) An event that does not collect any information for additional registrants (http://cl.ly/image/3x1n1a0H1U1k) = Add contact button will appear http://cl.ly/image/3T0H1X0g0F09

B) An event that does collect information from additional registrants but does not ask for the personal question group (http://cl.ly/image/3k3P2o3S1n3g) = No Add contact button will appear http://cl.ly/image/3s3E0m113v2v

C) An event that does collect information from additional registrants including the personal question group (http://cl.ly/image/101f1m0M2s2b) = Add contact button will appear http://cl.ly/image/03241v2M0C28

Could you please check your event and let us know if it matches scenario B above?

Hi Lorenzo,

The settings are more like A. It does not collect any information for additional registrants. It is set so that the primary registrant information applies to all tickets purchased. The personal information group is the one that is asked for the primary registrant.

So if someone purchases 3 tickets if I click onthe 1st ticket purchased by that person I do not see the create contact button, but if I click on the 2nd or 3rd ticket in that order then I do, so this won’t allow me to make the changes that I need to.

Hi Caitlyn,

Currently you can not change the contact that the primary registration is assigned to.

Because you were logged in using the WP Users Add-on all of the registrations have been assigned to the same ‘contact’. You break this association within group registrations for all but the primary registrant (the ‘Create Contact’ button Lorenzo mentioned above)

However this can not be done on the primary registration for multiple reasons.

So with that, the only way I can see to have the registrations separated onto their own contact is to cancel the original registration and recreate it within the admin using the ‘Add New Registration’ button.

I’ll check in with our developers to see if there is any other work around.
