Hi support,

I’m trying to change the default percentage of 15% of the federal tax to 21%. This percentage is applicable for VAT in the Netherlands. When I try to edit the default percentage to 21% however, the following error shows: Unknown named parameter $new_

I’ve recorded a Loom video of the issue: https://www.loom.com/share/da72fb147280475b8a8a4c3a7b78f8a1

What am I doing wrong?

Marco

Hi Marco,

In short, you need to switch your server to use PHP7, right now it is using PHP8 and Event Espresso is not fully compatible with PHP8 at this time.

Your host will using have a section where you can select the version of PHP running on the server, if not you may need to contact them and have them set the version for you.

Oops, I didn’t expect that πŸ™

When will you release an update of EE4 that is compatible with PHP8?

I don’t have an definitive answer for that currently, the best I can give you is as soon as we can πŸ™‚

There’s were a few roadblocks within WordPress core that prevented us from working on PHP8, those have now been fixed so we can switch back to working through PHP8 compatibility once we’ve finished the current dev cycle.

Okay. That’s a clear answer πŸ™‚
