New EE4 user here migrated from EE3. Duplicating events is not working right on my staging site. I added several tickets to an event and saved. I duplicated the event then went into it to edit and none of the tickets duplicated over to the new event.
When you say you ‘went into it to edit’, did that not happen automatically?
When you duplicate an event with EE4 it should take you directly to the duplicate event, the title of that event should have **DUPLICATE** added to it.
That is not what happened. I clicked DUPLICATE and then got this screen with the message at the top “SUCCESSFULLY DUPLICATED! You can edit your new event here.” http://10p.d7f.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Screen-Shot-2020-02-06-at-10.40.03-AM.png. The bottom of that screen still showed the original event. So I clicked on Edit and none of the tickets copied over but rather the ticket type showing is the default Free Ticket Qty 100.
It looks like you might have a WordPress plugin that adds an additional “Duplicate” button. The Duplicate Event buttons that’s provided by Event Espresso is closer to the title. The one that’s in the “Update Event” box is not provided by Event Espresso so it will not work as expected.
Okay I see that now. The Duplicate button next to title worked great. Now why is there a second Duplicate button? It’s in the same place as the one in EE3.
Quite likely your site has a WordPress plugin that adds an additional “Duplicate” button. Like it would also add a Duplicate Page and/or Duplicate Post button to regular pages/posts too.
