Hello, Since today (or yesterday), the new registrations do not update to “Approved” after successful payment (so far from stripe only). Any idea what could be wrong? |
Hi there, If you view one of the transactions this is has happened on within EE, does the Stripe payment show up there? If so what status does the payment have within EE? Like this – http://take.ms/mJvcF The green bar on that payment shows the payment itself is Approved (its separate from the registration status) |

hello there, Yes the stripe payment is there: Payment status is complete, but the registration status is pending payment: |
Hmm, do you have access to the server error logs? IF so can you check there are no errors from EE around the same time as the transaction was created? |
yes, just checked, lots of them 🙂 https://gist.github.com/altuno/cf79b5196f6fe2ffc8c64d5167c8f548 |
Hmm ok, so did the payments only stop working after you updated to the latest version of Event Espresso? Which version number was the site running before the latest update? (You can find this within Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System Information -> Activation history) |
yes indeed, I just checked that. I upgraded to the latest version on 30th Nov. There is only one registration that paid since the upgrade, and I had to move that manually to registration approved. |
… upgraded from 4.9.21.p to 4.9.22.p on 30th Nov. |
Can you run another test payment and confirm the same happens with your payment please? We’ve had one other report of the error your site is throwing but it did not cause issues with payment and it looks like something strange with the server setup. We are currently investigating the error further to find the exact cause. If the same happens with your payment can you send me temporary login details for the site so I can take a look? If so you can use this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ Note FTP details are important so we can enable debugging. |

Hi, |
Stripe is affected, but the problem is your server might have a version of PHP or some other configuration that’s not allowing the output an expected date time format. The dev team is aware of this issue and are working on troubleshooting this. In the meantime, you probably should switch back to version 4.9.21.p, which you can download here. |
ok, I’m at php 7.0. Let me know please when resolved. |
In the meantime, I will convert the registrations to approved manually – so that the email notifications are triggered. fyi. |
Or you can avoid having to update the transactions manually by switching back to version 4.9.21.p. |
Update: version 4.9.23.p is release and it includes better error handling for the invalid date time error your site was having with 4.9.22.p |
