I use shortlinks (e.g. http://www.gatewaysonline.org/?p=3388) to link to various articles on my client’s website. The links are placed in emails, facebook and other locations, linking back to the website.
For reasons unknown EE4.4.8.p breaks these links, and I end up on the homepage. I know this because I disabled EE4 and the link worked, and I then reactivated it and the link stopped working.
Do you know what the cause could be?
I do not know the source of the shortlink. I believe it came with a theme called “inspired” which existed already for a few years when I took over the project.

Thank you.

Hi Lawrence,

Event Espresso 4.4.9.p has the fix for the disabled shortlink issue.

After I read your post, I saw that there was an option to auto-update the plugin (it was not there before). I updated and the shortlink is working as expected.

Thank you for your very quick response!
