All confirmations (success/declines) from the credit cards are getting sent. Is there a way to only send successful notifications via email and not when a credit card was declined? Running WP 3.9 |
Hello, There are multiple email notifications available: http://cl.ly/image/3V0u0N051d2R Which ones would you like to deactivate? — |

Payment Declined and Payment Pending I think as well. Received a Payment is Successful on the introductory line email followed by details saying Incomplete when using a credit card that was declined for expired. |
Alright, so you would like to deactivate these messengers: Payment Pending I’ll go ahead and provide information on how to deactivate these. If you are interested in others, just let us know. Login to your WordPress admin. Then go to Event Espresso –> Messages. You’ll now be viewing the messages overview screen: http://cl.ly/image/3Q0h2E3A2G1M Under the Messenger column there are different contexts. For example, I could send an email notification to the Event Admin or a Primary Registrant. At the bottom of the page, you’ll see Payment Declined and next to it a blue link for Primary Registrant. Click on that link. Then on the next page, locate this shortcode [PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_EMAIL] in the To field and delete it: http://cl.ly/image/2a2r472P421U Finally, save changes by clicking on Save and Close on the right side of the screen. You’ve now disabled the Payment Declined message for the primary registrant. Next, you can apply the steps above to the Registration Pending Payment email. This messenger has two contexts: Event Admin and Primary Registrant. Click on the context that you would like to edit and again remove the shortcode from the To field and then save changes. — |

Lorenzo, we followed the steps above and still received an email with a declined credit card. Not sure what to do. Here’s our checkout page: |
Are all recipients greyed out? http://cl.ly/image/21381S3b0Y2Q — |
|
|
Yes, recipients are greyed out. We see now that it is actually the Payment Received email that is sent out with a decline. |
Alright, please try this: Login to your WordPress admin. Then go to Event Espresso –> Messages. Then click on the Settings tab. Drag the declined messenger over to inactive. Let us know if this helps. — |

Tried the most recent suggestion, but it did not work. |
Sorry to hear it didn’t work. I tested it before making that suggestion. On the Messages settings page, toggle the message system to OFF. Then turn it back on and switch the Payment Declined messenger to deactivated. — |
