Goal: to change the text of EE4 to be appropriate for a training website that offers classes and courses Example changing the text on various events, I would like both the user and admin to change “tickets” to “training”
and “Available Tickets” to “Choose your course” without having to redo this after the next update.

It didn’t work so I followed: changing the file name as suggested(
in (/topic/poedit-wiki-for-ee4-may-be-outdated/)assuming that the above article still may not have been updated — I tried the advice, to no avail.
I changed event-espresso-4-en.po to event_espresso-en_US.po
It turns out the best way to change text without having to redo after an update is use the translation function that’s shared in the documentation here:
The advantage of using the above method is you only have to load up the strings you want to change instead of editing and managing a set of .po and .mo files. This really comes in handy down the road when you want to add one or two more changes.
