Though it was not clear where to down the file at glotpress. I did manage to download
event-espresso-4-en.po
made the change to read
Max. number of %1$d tickets per order.
and in the file menu selected the compile to MO option and saved the
event-espresso-4-en.mo file
I went to transfer it via ftp to the wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages directory and didn’t find that directory so I created a languages directory and uploaded the .mo version of the file there. And then edited the wp-config file to
define(‘WPLANG’, ‘en_US’);
cleared the cache (chrome) and reloaded the page – no change showing
I cleared the cache and tested in Firefox – no changes
I noticed that the file name in the EE article does not have a 4 in the file name.
“download a copy of the event_espresso-en_US.po”
Do I have the wrong file? Did I make and error someplace?
Was this the only phrase that you were wanting to change?
If so, there is an easier way to change it. The example in this link could be added to your child theme’s functions.php file or via a site specific plugin:
Created a site specific plugin and worked perfectly in both EE$ and EE$ beta.
Thanks
