Hello,

on my site clients are only allowed paying via bank and check, can I edit the core files that the default registration status is not ‘incomplete’ but ‘complete’ and possibly the payment status from ‘pending’ to ‘paid’? (yes, I’m aware that this is possibly not best practice, but I’d like it that way)

Thanks!

Hi Thomas,

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to help you edit the core plugin as those changes will be lost when you upgrade. However, if only those payment options are offered, then you could change the registration status to approved through Events –> Default Settings.

This will only apply to new events.

Existing events will need to be updated by going to the event editor and then going to event registration options and setting that to approved for the default registration status:

Just a reminder that this process is not accurate as you’ll see registrants/attendees as approved but they may not have actually paid.

Thank you Lorenzo,
that solved my problem, but created a new one.
Now if a user buys a ticket for him alone Event Espresso sends two confirmation mails: one for the attendee and one for the primary attendee.

In my example: if a user signs up for a course, he gets 2 confirmation emails, instead of one…

Hello again Thomas,

Could you take a look at the following screenshot?

http://cl.ly/image/1e2Y2y2N0a0F

That is from the registration approved message type in Event Espresso –> Messages.

Does your primary registrant link appear blue?

If so, that recipient is enabled.

It isn’t enabled by default and you can turn it off by clicking on it and then removing the shortcode from the TO field on the next screen (message editor) and saving changes.
