Hello so we were using ee3 with a 3rd party calendar “my calendar” but recently upgraded to ee4 and figured the new ee4 calendar plugin would be better. I see that it claims and (I do see) that it has schema included by default however our old calendar showed CALENDAR dates within search results on google and the ee4 calendar plugin does not show any additional details such as it did before.
Can anyone help shed some light on why this may be the case before I start adding additional code to the ee4 calendar template?
Thanks for the clarity, but really? That seems like a wasted opportunity… is there any documentation on adding it? Has anyone else in the community done it?
Thanks for the feedback. We don’t feel it’s wasted opportunity for the calendar to not have something that already exists elsewhere on the website.
The data for the events is output with every single event, where each event has its individual data (output in ld+json format, including dates) on its own web page. Along with that, each event page has an ical add to calendar link for each datetime. Then in addition to the above, EE4 adds an automatic RSS feed of your upcoming events published on this URL: https://inpulsecpr.com/events/feed
We do not have documentation that shows how to add the same data to the calendar page, nor are we aware of anyone else that has done this.
