I currently have EE4 (4.4.5) and I’m considering also getting the Calendar Add-on. However, before doing so, I wonder if anyone can shed light on how this interacts with the events themselves.
In very basic terms, I’d like to be able to add an event from EE4 and have the event automatically populate the calendar, which I’ll pull into a page elsewhere on the site that will serve as a central repository/listing of all events.
That sounds pretty simple, but the heart of my question is this – if I add an event just as I do currently (with the add-on installed_, will it populate the calendar without any additional steps, and will the item on the calendar automatically link to the event itself? I understand that I may need to add some details to the event itself to have it show up in certain ways on the calendar (such as selecting an event category to have a certain color show up). What I DON’T want is to have to add the event and then also add something to the calendar as a separate step.
