Can you please explain… give me a circumstance so I can properly choose between the Lookup Attendee Options…
what is the difference between continuous scanning and continuous check-in only? – what circumstance would I choose one or the other?
The Video wasn’t helpful… where is the scan bar code # coming from (“scan or enter barcode here”)?

There are 4 different lookup modes within the Barcode scanner add-on.
‘Look-up attendee’ allows you to scan a barcode, look up the attendee and check them in manually.
‘Continuous scanning’ allows you to scan a barcode and it will automatically check the attendee in OR out when you scan.
‘Continuous Check-in only’ allows you to scan a barcode and will automatically check-in the user if the ticket is valid and they are NOT already checked in.
‘Keyword look-up’ allows you to enter a string and search the event registrations for matches, for example entering the attendees name should show a list of registrations (if any) for the event.
what circumstance would I choose one or the other?
It all depends on how you want the check in to work.
For example if you just want to check in or out any user with no intervention from the ‘scanner’ then use Continuous mode, if you only want to check IN users use Continuous check-in only.
If you prefer to check each ticket an manually check the user in use ‘Look-up attendee’.

The info input into the barcode scanner field is from scanning a barcode, this can be done through a handheld barcode scanner or a mobile device.
