It seems this should be built-in, but here’s the issue. 1. A person selects a ticket and click “register now”. A back button or a link on the “steps” area to allow them to back and edit their info is needed. With the current set-up, if you click the browser “Back” button you go back to the event page (ticket select). I tried a couple of things from here. METHOD #1. If you use the browser “forward” button to proceed, you get back to the registrant info checkout page with the previously entered information intact. Aside from the fact that the user shouldn’t have to figure this out, there’s another problem. If you now make an edit, the “Proceed to Payment” button no longer works. [If you’ve actually selected a payment option by clicking the radio button (at least with PayPal basic), and follow the above steps, the “P to P” button works, but it automatically jumps through screens and goes directly to PayPal.] I was able to proceed to the payment options page by refreshing the browser window. METHOD #2. I clicked on “Register now”. This forces the user to start fresh and re-enter his information. While I really think this ability should be built in, can you give me a function per the link below that will allow you to go back from payment details to registrant information? https://eventespresso.com/topic/add-a-go-back-bottom-on-registration-checkout-page/ |

Forgot to give link to event page. |

Am I missing something here? Should the solution be obvious? If I’m not getting a response because of double support key, here’s the situation. I’m just implementing EE on a site developed by another developer. He moved to production without telling me, and I can no longer access WP on development, though I can access it via ftp. I’ve tried actually deleting EE on development, but the key must be in the database, so it’s still showing as two sites. |
Hi Vic, I’m sorry for the delay getting back to you. It turns out adding a button to step back a step within the Single Page Checkout process (SPCO for short) is not just a case of adding a link. Event Espresso monitors your registration session, as you step through the steps within the registration EE marks the steps as ‘complete’ and displays the next step. So stepping back through the registration basically needs to mark the attendee_information step incomplete again and reload the checkout page. I’ve requested some feedback from our developers on creating a link/button that could do this. Currently the user can edit the registration details from the thank you page once the registration has been complete – http://take.ms/TRLgh |

Thanks, Tony. I think this would be valuable from a user standpoint. It seems many registration set-ups work this way with the little flow list of where you’re at up the top, with links. Look forward to hearing more at some point. |
