I have had 4 transactions yesterday that Event Espresso says are accepted and have gone through – however it never sent any actual information to paypal. The payers got confirmation emails, and confirmation from EE but no money actually went into paypal. There is a lot of money at stake in these transactions and I am nervous to over charge or under charge… All other payments up until those have been going through. . . I upgraded to 4.6.13.p to fix the american express issue. We are all kind of freaking out over a lost 7k… |

I updated to 4.14.p Will this fix the issue? |
Hi, could you double-check that you are not using a sandbox or testing account with PayPal? Those do not process real funds. You can check through the payment methods page for Event Espresso. Thanks — |

I am not using a sandbox or testing account – The payments were going through fine (Approx 23 of them before that time) the last 3 however didn’t work.. |
Hi, When you view these transaction details in the WP dashboard, is there any payment information in the payment details area? Also, is PayPal the only payment method in use? — |

I updated to 4.6.14 and added https to force ssl… I ran a 1 $ transaction and it seemed to go through alright.. However I want to make sure this doesn’t happen again, was there a problem with 4.6.13 not sending transactions through? |
|
Paypal is the only method used – and when it goes through correctly it assigned a long number in relation to the transaction id.. The times it didn’t go through it assigned a 4 digit number instead. |

It was a Paypal Issue – I apologize – Paypal and manual entry. |
Hi Royale, Thank you for letting us know. Can you provide some further details as to what the problem was please? You mention manual entry, as in manual entry by the event admin? |

I just received word – I truly want to apologize.. It seems that there was a secretary who added in those payments, then went home because of the snow. That being said there’s no way to show that it was manually added and the paypal transaction was completely a different batch number. When the owner calls me upset because $7,000.00 is missing and it’s ‘my’ plugin’s fault I was frantic to find out what could have been the problem. Again I apologize. |
