Hello. I tried to upgrade from EE 4.1.12 to 4.2.1. I deactivated the plugin, used ftp to upload the folder (Choosing overwrite on duplicates). When I reactivate the plugin, i get the following error
Uncaught exception: EE_DMS_4_1_0 is not a valid Data Migration Script. The classname should be like EE_DMS_w_x_y_z, where w is either ‘Core’ or the slug of an addon and x, y and z are numbers,
An error in the input data may prevent correct display of this page. Please advise the administrator as soon as possible.
And I can no longer pull up the admin dashboard to my site. Rolling back the version of EE to 4.1.12 returns the site to normal state.
This might be due to the overwriting files and/or incomplete file uploads which sometimes happens if the connection drops while files are being uploaded.
Please try a reinstall of your software. Begin by backing up your WordPress:
Now login to your WordPress admin and go to Plugins. Locate Event Espresso in the list of plugins and deactivate it.
Next, login to your WordPress root with an SFTP or FTP client (FileZilla and Cyberduck are free options). Then browse to the WP Plugins folder. Relocate the Event Espresso folder one level above the plugins folder so that its new location becomes:
wp-content/event-espresso-core-reg
Return to the Plugins screen in the WordPress admin and click on Add New –> Upload. Then browse to the zip file that you downloaded from your account. Select it and begin the upload process. You can activate Event Espresso after it has finished.
it was. Once I moved the folder out and re uploaded the software it activated just fine. thank you.
