I am setting up an event calendar/event manager for a client and they have some very specific needs and I “think” that Event Espresso will do what they need, but I’m not sure if EE3 or EE4 will be better — so I was hoping for a little help because I don’t want to purchase the wrong version.
They have a few different ticket options for the classes and events they have:
Classes:
– classes have a class fee and a materials fee …
– there is a regular price ticket for the class
– there is a member’s discount – for only the class fee (I would like to do this through a promotional code that will only be given to members – so non-members wouldn’t have the code and couldn’t get the discount)
– there is a multiple purchase discount – where if two tickets for two kids in the same family are purchased the 1st ticket is regular price and any additional tickets are discounted 20%
– the multiple tickets purchased discount becomes a little more complicated when a member purchases multiple tickets they get a discount on the first ticket, then the 20% is taken off of the REGULAR/non-member price not their discounted price ….
So, is there a way to set-up a “fee” or surcharge on each ticket that isn’t discounted?
and a way to set-up a promo code that will only apply to one ticket?
and a way to set-up a discount to additional tickets, but not the first ticket ..
Hi there Liz, thanks for letting us know about your project requirements.
There is a promotions system available for Event Espresso 3 at this time and we are testing out and finishing up development for one for Event Espresso 4.
Member vs non-member pricing is available in both versions.
However, the promotions system for either version would not be able fully meet your needs.
For example, it cannot allow regular pricing for the first ticket and then apply a discount on additional tickets. It also cannot exclude members from receiving an additional discount.
Update: The Promotions add-on for Event Espresso 4 is now available.
