Hello EE team. I have been using EE3 for a few years now on 4 sites. I need to make some changes for function and usability and to problem solve issues we have been having. 2 questions:
1) Do you have good example or info on how best to use the shopping cart feature? How best to integrate, best practices, samples of it in use? I am not convinced we are using this in the best possible way.
2) If we use Paypal pro would we be able to keep the payments from happening off-site? Could that all be done within the website? Our main problems happen from the payment gateway when a person returns back to the site. I am wondering if we can just keep them on the site?
I’d add that a good way to integrate a shopping cart button onto the standard registration page is via an action hook. Here’s some example code that shows one way to do this:
You’re correct about PayPal Pro. The payment form gets filled out on your site. They stay on your site throw the whole process (unlike standard PayPal or Moneris HPP). It’s best to have an SSL certificate and secure the page where they fill out their credit card information, and we have a guide for that here:
Thanks Josh, looks like we are using as per the suggested format. I will look at integrating Paypal Pro as well.
