EE3 Events Don't Match Category Colors

I’m trying to set up a calendar for different training events happening in our area, and I made categories based off the locations of the events. Each category is assigned a color, and each event is sorted into a category upon creation. However, on the actual calendar the events don’t show the correct category color. Under Calendar Settings, I have “Enable CSS for Categories” set to “Yes”. Regardless of whether “Use Color Pickers” is set to “Yes” or “No”, the events show up in blue. If I change the hex code for “Event Background/Text Color” then the color does change, but it changes for all events regardless of category. Under the Categories tab, I have two categories with the settings “Use Color Pickers” set to “Yes” and then customized background/text colors for each.

Am I missing a setting somewhere that prohibits my events from showing the correct category color?

Hi there,

I just tested this on our demo site and it is working.

Could you take a look at one of the events through the event editor and check to see that a single category is assigned?

I just checked – each event is assigned to only one category.

Hello,

Could you go to Event Espresso –> Calendar Settings and scroll down and click on the reset calendar settings option?

This will clear any current settings so you can set them up again.

And then the event category colors are set through Event Espresso –> Categories:

Does it then work after updating the settings?
