Hi Guys,

When I create an event post, it is not showing up under the assigned wordpress category.

Foe example, I have a wordpress category called “All Ages”. When I create an event post named ” Circus” the event post can not be publically viewed when choosing that category within a search or menu selection.

What am I doing incorrectly?

Hi Chi Bear,

When you set up the event, are you selecting the Post Post type option, and checking the box next to the Category, just like what’s outlined in this screenshot?

Hi Josh,

It appears your screen shot displays the “Event Post” menu that appears below adding a ticketed event registration.

We are adding event Posts via the “Admin Menu” Link. There is no provision to select an event type via that menu.

Any thoughts!?

Hi Chi,

That’s a different post type that you’re adding and will not display with regular WordPress post categories. The screenshot I shared with you is the correct way (and really the only way) to get a post that’s for an event to appear in a category.
