Hello, I have installed the latest EE3 Event Calendar Add-on and have set the registration button to load the event post. However, when you click on the “Register” button in the Event Calendar tool tip, it merely reloads the page! Our customers cannot register which is no bueno. I am using a custom page with the [Events_Calendar] short code. I’m entirely frustrated as this should, with the proper settings, work out-of-the-box. Perhaps I’m missing something? URL is https://www.vinoandvangoghatspiros.com/class-calendar/ |
Hi! What page is [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] on? — |

Hi Lorenzo, Maybe I don’t know how this works. I replaced [Espresso_Events] with [Espresso_Calendar]. Is that not right? Do I need a dedicated page just for that tag? How does the calendar add-on work, exactly? Brett |

To answer your question, [Espresso_Events] is on https://www.vinoandvangoghatspiros.com/event-registration I have the classes (or events) set to create a post. Once I click “Register” in the calendar, I am sent to the post. When I click the registration link on the post, I am sent back to the calendar…make sense? Give it a try on an open event and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Brett |
Hi Brett, Think of [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] as the most important shortcode. It is needed for Event Espresso to work correctly. Create a new WordPress page and name it events registration and add the shortcode below: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] Then publish it. Now we need to let Event Espresso know about this page. You can do this through WordPress admin –> Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Page Settings –> Main registration page. Here is a screenshot of what the default settings look like: http://cl.ly/image/342G1B123J3Y — |

Ok. I’ve done what you instructed but I am still getting kicked back to the class calendar page when I click “register” on the class’s post page. |
|
I re-created a new page called “events registration”. |
The page with the Espresso Events shortcode doesn’t work: http://cl.ly/image/250w3E2h0J2b It needs to be published. Then re-save pretty permalinks. — |

I’m still having the issue of when clicking “Register” on this page, for example: http://www.vinoandvangoghatspiros.com/annies-art/annies-art/ |
That page is still broken: http://cl.ly/image/0w440t3I1P0V Try deactivating the software. Then remove the events registration page and delete it. Then create a new page with the Espresso Events shortcode and publish it. Then reactivate Event Espresso. — |

Hi, So I did what you suggested, deactivated the EE plugin, the EE Calendar plugin and the Mailchimp for EE plugin. I deleted the pages, cleared the trash and recreated the page (https://www.vinoandvangoghatspiros.com/event-registration). I reactivated the EE plugin then went to check to make sure the page was displaying the events. It was. I reactivated the Calendar plugin and tested it. It reloads itself when you click on the “Register Now” link. Any ideas? Does SSL interfere with it? All pages pertaining to Event Espresso are under SSL. Please advise. |
Hi Brett, I’ve just registered (stopping on the payment page) for a class on Thursday the 3rd July by clicking on the ‘Register Now’ button within the Calendar without any issues using Chrome. Firefox & IE also load up the event details correctly. Is there a specific event your are testing? What should happen is if you click the register now button, you are taken to the page containing [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] which will then show details for that single event, if you scroll down a little you can then enter your details to register onto the event. |
