WP 4.1 Installed the EE and add-ons a couple weeks ago. Upgraded to the new EE Calendar this past weekend. The registration page is for members only, so I will need to send you a login. Everything was working fine on Monday. My client was even able to register for an event successfully after I had updated the EE Calendar plugin. On Tuesday, when any member tries to register for an event they get the following error:
The Chrome browser debug console has this error: Under Member settings, I set Require login for all events? to NO |
Hi chnikki, Can you provide login details so we can investigate further please. You can send them securely using this form: |

Ok, I sent the information. I look forward to hearing from you. |
The WP Members Add-on considers a ‘member’ to by any user logged into WordPress. I’m not sure what you are using for your members portal, but it doesn’t not appear to be logging the users into WordPress itself? If this is the case then that is why the events still display the members message. Can you explain a little further as to how this is set up please? |

Hi Nikki, I spent some time troubleshooting this on a local site and what’s strange is I set up the WP Membership plugin on my site and it’s logging membership accounts in as expected. What’s strange about your site is if I try to go to yoursite/wp-login.php and try to log in with the test account, it will not log me in. It’s possible that this is a conflict with another one of plugins that extend WordPress log in features that you’ve got set up. It may help to try deactivating some of those plugins so that you only have Event Espresso, the Event Espresso WP user integration, and the Simple WordPress Membership plugins installed. Another odd bit I noticed on your site was when I logged in with the test account from the member log in page, the WP tool bar didn’t display. It’s set to display in the settings though. It seems like it’s not quite logging the member into WordPress. |

I’m using Simple WP membership plugin. Since we are using Square for payments, we are creating the members manually. Once they are logged in to the front end, only members are allowed to see the event calender and register for the event. From what I can tell, the a matching WP user record is created at the same time in the subscriber role. I swear that last week the members were NOT getting this error message. I just saw your other message. I’m going to look disable the other plugins like you said. |

I deactivated all plugins except EE & SWPM and still got the same error. I logged into the database and found two tables with passwords. For about half of our members, the passwords where different. Of course, the 3 I tested where ones that different passwords. After updating the passwords to be the same in both table, members can register for events successfully. You guys are so awesome!!! I feel like a real dope though :-/ |
