For one of our event types, we provide handouts, worksheets, etc. to the attendees. I’m wanting to include a link to these items from the payment confirmation email, but I don’t see that I can make custom payment confirmation emails that are event specific.
I understand that I can add the links to the registration confirmation and then limit the registration confirmation to only send after payment, but since we allow pay by check, etc. we want to be able to send the registration confirmation prior to payment so the customer has a reference.
I understand that I can create a template and then use the send to all attendees feature, but I prefer something automated.
Let me know if I am missing something, or if the custom payment confirmation emails are not possible with EE3.
If you are accepting checks, then you would need to mark this payment in the Edit Attendee Payment Record screen. There is a email notification feature that you may find helpful.
You could setup a template to use. Then when you need to add payment information for a check, you can go to the Edit Attendee Payment Record screen. Then select your template and click send.
On the right side of your screen, you can enter the amount for the check and set the payment status to completed.
Additionally, you could use the batch/mass email feature to send out the materials again prior to the event.
