Does my EE3 Business License include access to the new Promotions & Discount add-on? Or do we have to pay the $59.95 fee?

Hello there,

The EE3 Business License does not include the EE4 Promotions codes add-on. It will be a separate purchase.

When I try to purchase it, I get this message:You have access to this already. Access is renewed with Support License renewal

And my license does not expire until 12/11/2015

Your help is appreciated.

Hello, you actually have a developer support license for Event Espresso 3.

Also, we made an error on our prior comment. Since you have a support license for Event Espresso 3, then you’ll automatically get Event Espresso 4 along with equivalent add-ons. This is because we want to provide an upgrade path from Event Espresso 3 to Event Espresso 4.

The feedback above applies for all Event Espresso 3 support licenses so generally speaking if you have a support license that includes something already like MailChimp for Event Espresso 3, then you’ll get MailChimp for Event Espresso 4 automatically.

You should already have the promotions and discounts add-on on your account. If you recently purchased it for this account, then please follow up with us here so we can refund the funds for that purchase.

Thanks

Your account shows that you have a developer license, which seems to be why you have access. You should be able to download the promotions add-on from your account page, unless you log into another account that has a business license.

Thank you for the clarification. I have downloaded the Promotions add-on now, updated EE to 4.8.8 and activated the new plug-in, however, I am getting a 404 error when I click on the Events link in the dashboard. The only way I can access any event is through the front-end on the event detail page via the small text ‘edit’ link at the bottom of the page. The Event Espresso link that appears in the top WordPress toolbar on the front-end also gives us a 404.

We look forward to your help in resolving this, too. 🙂

Karen

Hey Karen,

First off, sorry for the misinformation yesterday. Glad we got that sorted!

Did the 404 start happening after installing EE4 Promotions? Can you try deactivating and reactivating EE?

First I tried to activate Promotions, but got a message that we needed to upgrade to 4.8.8. So we went through the steps to do that which involved the migration step on the Maintenance screen. This process automatically activated the promotions add-on. When we went to look at the event detail admin screen, we got the 404. I have tried deactivating the new add-on, but still get the 404. I tried deactivating EE and then activate EE, but still get the 404.

Can you try increasing the memory limit for your site?

You do this using FTP, within wp-config.php by adding something like:

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M' );

Before the line /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

We have increased the memory limit as you have suggested, but this has not solved the issue.

Hi there,

Are you running WordPress 4.2 or higher? If not, can you update?
