I’m on the latest WP and need to install the latest EE update, on EE 3.1.36.6.P. Just noticed a really weird back end issue on some registrations. I created a promotional code that is 100% off (for partners registering for our conference) a week ago and I just downloaded our attendee excel data to look it over and somehow that code is listed as being used on 10 previous registrations that all occurred well before the code even existed. Only two other people besides myself have access to EE and none of us have gone in and changed what promo code was used. Also, 7 of these registrations paid via paypal, yet all of them are now showing that $0 has been paid. Even though the transaction is listed as completed and we received the money via paypal. Also, the price of each event is not listed as $0 on the sheet, which would have been the case if they really did check out with a 100% off promo code.

Fortunately I DL the attendee data excel sheets fairly often and found an older copy from feb 10th and it shows all of those registrations with the correct promo codes being used – which were codes we created for one day offers a few weeks ago – so the codes were deleted once the promotion finished.

Any ideas on what the heck is going on? I’ve got nothing.

Thanks

Josh

Hi Yolande,

I looked into this and I don’t know how the promo codes that were deleted would have also been deleted and replaced in the attendee records. When you go into the individual attendee records in the backend, do they have the same promocodes on the edit payment page?

Yeah they all got changed in the edit payment page as well. I just realized that this only happened to attendees in one event (we have multiple combos for the conference because we offer pre/post seminars) and it happened to every single attendee in that event. At least it appears to be limited to one event, so weird. I turned off the promo code that got overwritten onto all the registrations, because it is no longer needed, so I’ll have to monitor new and old registrations that go into that event and see if anything changes again. I will make a few dummy entries and see what goes on.

Please let us know what happens with the dummy entries. Thanks.
