I am not sure if I understand the operation of EE3 for FREE events. These are the only events we offer and the AUTO-RETURN URL (Thank You) would be a logical place to take the user after they register. It seems logical that EE3 would ALWAYS return the user to the THANK YOU page after registering but it does not for FREE events.
Is there a way to accomplish this WITHOUT migrating to EE4? Our system is very busy.

Hi there,
Event Espresso 3 doesn’t actually use the Auto-return URL if it’s a free event, it loads in a template and keeps the user on the main registration URL. This cannot be changed.
Are you looking to change the messaging that appears after someone registers for a free event?
