Hi, Recently, the ticketing functionality of the ticketing add-on just stopped working. i have version 1.0.4 installed with EE4 v4.9.2. The view ticket and resend notice actions are gone from the registration listings and when a user receives the ticket notice email from a registration, the ticket URL takes them to the homepage and does not display the ticket. I checked the database message_groups table and the ticket types were set to inactive. So I I set them back to active, but still they do not display or work. Is this a licensing issue? Any help is much appreciated. Aaron |
Hi Aaron, We do not have any lockdown mechanisms in Event Espresso that stops functionality as you described. Could you update your Event Espresso 4 core software? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/ Next, go to Event Espresso –> Messages –> Settings. Look for the HTML link and click on it. Then drag the Ticket over to inactive and then move it back to active. Then click on the Email link and look for the Ticket Notice and repeat the same steps to temporarily deactivate and reactivate. From here, go to the Registrations overview screen and then look at the actions column for a registration and click on the ticket. Does it appear? — |

Hey Lorenzo, I tried all of your suggestions prior to posting this topic and to no avail. So I went and purchased another licence for the EE4 Ticketing add-on and voila, everything works again. Seems there is a lockdown mechanism in place. All the ticketing functionality disappeared in conjunction with my annual dev licence expiring and re-appeard when I purchased a new one. |
Hi there, There really isn’t a lockdown mechanism in place, but there was a bug in versions 4.9.0 – 4.9.3 that would unintentionally deactivate message types when the ticketing add-on was activated. That bug was fixed in 4.9.4. |

Ok, well that would have been some nice information to know before spending another $65 bucks for the same version of the add-on that I already have. Anything that you can do for me in terms of a credit of sorts? |
You’re welcome to fill out the refund questionnaire: https://eventespresso.com/refund-questionnaire/ Before you do that, it will be worth your while to consider the costs of keeping the software on your site up to date if the Event Espresso project could no longer afford to staff a professional development team though. |
