After updating to 4.6.19.p we are having issues with our registration form. On our event registration form, no matter which fields are filled out the system will always state that a field has been left blank.

The message received is as follows :

An error has occurred:
Unable to save registration form data for the form input: “11” with the submitted value: “”
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information – _process_registrations – 725

I’m not sure how to go about troubleshooting this. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Can you provide a link to an example event where this is occurring please?

Hi there Dean – is there any way I can message you the link privately? It’s not a website we want publicized. Please let me know.

Thanks

Hi David,

I would recommend using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

To securely send the information to ourselves.

Thanks Dean & Tony – I have forwarded the information as requested.

Thanks for the site link.

The Billing Contact Phone # question is shown twice. Can you please remove one from the registration form and see if the issue persists or not?

Hi Dean,

That appears to have resolved the issue, however I have uncovered another one that I’m not sure warrants a new ticket.

After getting to the payment page I noticed that the logo for the invoicing didn’t work and after trying to fix it I get the following error

An error has occurred:
Payment method of type Invoice was not saved because there were validation errors. They have been marked in the form
Payments_Admin_Page – _update_payment_method – 767

The reason I flag this now is because I fear that this update may have unravelled a multitude of issues. The logo is stored in a subfolder of the “event-espresso-core-reg” folder however the system had it as in a “event-espresso-core-reg-1” folder which does not exist. This icon was working without issue prior to updating.

Hi,

Have you tried modifying the URL of the logo in the Invoice payment settings area? What’s likely happened is the plugin was installed into a event-espresso-core-reg-1 folder, but on update it was installed into the default event-espresso-core-reg folder (plugins are actually deleted then reinstalled when updating them) but of course URL’s may not have updated in settings.

Hi David,

Can you completely remove the Image URL from the Invoice settings and save the settings.

Does it then save?

This should revert to the default image location (which should use the ‘event-espresso-core-reg’ directory)

Hi guys,

Thanks for your quick resopnses – I have tried manually entering the URL in that area Dean which is when I receive the aforementioned error. Additionally I have tried uploading the files that I wish to use and link to them via the button beside the field and the same errors appear. The URL is valid and I have confirmed that I can access the files if the URL is copied and pasted into a browser.

Sorry guys it looks like I might have celebrated too soon. The registration only works now if there is a single registrant. If we wish to have multiples the original error continues.

Any ideas?

Hi, I replied via email asking for more information. We’ll need to see an event that has registration for multiple attendees enabled.

Thanks

Lorenzo
