I have version 4.9.38 already installed and made some new events last month – our billing renewed also last month. And right now our site has been forced into: maintenance mode and there was an update showing to install and when I tried, I kept getting failed messages. I refreshed the browser and then all of a sudden the EE plug-in totally disappeared. We are hosting on GoDaddy and I had previously removed Cache files for potential shopping cart issues. Any idea on what I might need to do? Or what I need to work with Godaddy about?
I should mention that the web url is: http://www.salesforcegolfclients.com – and the entire registration part is gone. I know I can revert to a back-up, but before doing that I would like to get an idea of what the issue is/was. Thanks!
It sounds like you’ll need to download a fresh copy of Event Espresso 4 from your account page and re-install Event Espresso on your site’s WordPress > Plugins page. You can check with Godaddy to see if any of their techs were doing any work on your site when the plugin was deleted.
Well that didn’t work for some reason. I had to basically revert to a backup. Every time I try to install the most recent version of EE, I get tons of error messages and finally the application is removed. I looked at the changelog and wondered if there is something in it that the Godaddy platform doesn’t accept? Caching? Do you have older versions of Event Espresso 4 add-ons activated?
