I have just moved my WordPress site from subdirectory to root folder, and my the Event Espresso plugin doesn’t work properly anymore.
I am trying to remove my license key to get a reset, but when trying to set the change, WordPress returns a Nonce Fail. If I try to access any event made with event espresso in the admin page, I get disconnected from WordPress.
I have a caching plugin (WP Super-Cache), but I have desactivated it and purged it. Any ideas?
Thank you for your swift answer. Here are the steps I took to update the URLs:
– First, I used Velvet Blues plugin to chane URL across the site.
– I then realised that images were broken, so I ran a SQL command to find and replace the URLs in the wp_posts database, which worked as it should.
– Finally, I realised that Elementor wasn’t displaying its icons anymore (as does Event Espresso, re my other thread), so I went and used Elementor’s tool to replace URLs, as well as forcing the CSS to be rebuilt (which didn’t fix Elementor’s icons, but anyway).
And about migrating, I moved the files from the subdirectory to the root directory manually via FTP, replacing all previous content. I had to change the website’s URL in wp settings.
Ok, sorry triple post. I had to make some changes to the wp-config and decided to delete these lines which I added during migration, following instructions online:
It turns out this was creating some problem, but now that they have been removed, everything worked again! I just sent a request for a license reset.
Thank you!
