Hi Guys, How can we remove this error please – http://screencast.com/t/OgStbVPcceC Do we have to remove the test site files where EE was setup to begin with and the license was saved? We’ve already done several resets. Thanks. |

I’m getting this message as well regardless of updating the different sections |
Hi Ben, If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. Under ‘Page Settings’ click ‘Update Options’. Does that remove the notice? Nicholas, if have not done so already could you try the same please. If you could start your own thread with your issue, outlining what you have tried so far we will be able to assist you more. Generally it is best if you start your own thread for each issue as it helps us track and manage them easier ๐ |

Hi Tony, I’ve already tried this several times. If the license was previously used on a test site, do we have to remove that test site completely? Thanks. |
No but you will need to remove the license key from that test site. The license key would cause a message stating your license key was invalid (as it would be linked to another site) but not the organisation settings notice. That message is caused when Event Espresso can’t find the core pages or they have not been setup. Have you moved the site recently? |

Thanks Tony, I have removed the license key from the old site now. Unfortunately, it was another developer who made the move. I did advise on developing EE after they had moved the rest of his site. I have resaved the license in the new site, and the error is still appearing, will it take time to take effect? Thanks. |
License key errors do not bring up Organisation settings errors but moving the site incorrectly may well do. There’s a little more involved to moving wordpress sites than normal, see: http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress There are path’s stored to the database so when you move a site, your database still points to the previous domain (whichever it may be) which can cause errors such as this. So it depends on how the test site was moved over. Is it possible for you to send us log-in details so we can take a look? If so please use https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ |

Thanks Tony. Details sent. |
The reason you are getting this error is one of the 4 required pages for Event Espresso has been changed and is not setup correctly. Event Espresso has 4 required pages which must be public and published. In this case if we go to Event Espresso -> System Status. Scroll to ‘Registration Pages’. If you then go to Event Espresso -> General Settings. Scroll to ‘Page Settings’. You can select the page there. It is currently set to ‘Main Page’ It needs to be set to whichever page has the [ESPRESSO_PAYMENTS] shortcode. If you set that correctly, the error should be removed. |
